We do provide the following respite support for the community:
- In-Home Respite Care: Our trained staff or support worker visits the home of the person with a disability and provides care while the primary caregiver takes a break. This allows the individual to stay in their familiar environment while receiving supervision and assistance.
- Out-of-Home Respite Care: The person with a disability staying temporarily in our respite facility, group home, or similar setting where they receive care and participate in recreational activities. The caregiver gets a longer, more flexible break, which can range from a few hours to several days.
- Short-Term Accommodation (STA): Our clients with a disability stay in our specialized accommodation for a short period, offering caregivers time to recharge. This is often funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia, which provides financial assistance for such services.
- Emergency Respite Care: In the case of urgent or unexpected situations, Q1 Care provides immediate care for the individual with a disability. This ensures continuity of care when the primary caregiver cannot perform their duties due to illness, family emergencies, or other unforeseen events. Q1 Care has collaborated with major agencies in providing emergency respite to allow caregivers a break in their carer roles.
- Community-Based Respite: Our respite programs offer support within the community, where the person with a disability might engage in social, recreational, or therapeutic activities under the supervision of trained staff, allowing caregivers a break while their loved ones enjoy enriching experiences. Q1 Care has a pool of professional staff who facilitate community based respite.
